BWTUC
celebrates 30 years Workers Beer Company at Glastonbury 2016

The Bread & Roses is owned by The Battersea and Wandsworth Trade Union Council (BWTUC) and run by the Workers Beer Company, part of BWTUC Trading. BWTUC is the South West London arm of the national TUC. It is made up of affiliated trade union branches with 20,000 members working or living in South West London. It supports locals and international workers' right campaigns from Wimbledon to Haiti as part  of the international campaign for economic and social justice.

Through its Workers Beer Company fundraising arm BWTUC Trading has been running bars at major festivals throughout the UK and Ireland for over 27 years, these include Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, Latitude, Proms in Hyde Park, Tolpuddle Festival and many more, including the Olympic Live Sites in 2012. The company is the only operator of festival bars owned by the trade union movement.

With such close ties to the trade union and at the same time vast links to the UK’s largest music and performing arts festivals The Bread & Roses is a unique place to experience contemporary and innovative live music, comedy and theatre.
Check out the BWTUC's video celebrating 30 years of Workers Beer Company at Glastonbury 2016, speeches incl. Michael Eavis (founder Glastonbury), Tony Hollingsworth (WBC), Melvin Benn (co-founder WBC), Steve Pryle (chair WBC).
