![]() Brought to you by FEAST, we are excited to announce this uniquely curated night of sounds from South London, featuring NRVS, Island Girl and a special DJ set from Ruben Santiago. Each act is exciting and rebellious in its own right, but threaded together in an up-turned, genre-defying narrative we can discern the multiplicity that makes South London so special. NRVS maintains an elusive presence on social media, and have been described as "Nick Cave meets Wu Tang Clan for a post punk anxiety jam". As heard on BBC6 Music, we can expect an electrifying and thrilling live sound. Island Girl, “born from the dissatisfied young mind of a London-based musician”, confronts us with a rare vulnerability in her stripped-back set, allowing her soulful vocals to be at the forefront of music that in her proclamation searches for an island paradise. She strikes hard at the realities of growing up in an unforgiving city, crooning, “Bored of working hard when there's still nothing to do because you can’t pay for shit on minimum wage”. Not an act to miss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEkfq1ZA-Og Music starts at 9pm, serving drinks until midnight. FREE ENTRY |
